Wood Stock Villa Review

Woodstock Villa

Cast: Sikandar Kher, Neha Uberoi, Arbaaz Khan, Gulshan Grover; Director: Hansal Mehta

As the title of the movie is an English name, so it becomes apparent to see actually what it is.Although more or less its clear that it is [Woodstock Villa] some high profile mansion, around which the movie is to be revolved supposedly. On first instance I thought of Krishna Cottage (which also co incidentally has Arbaz Khan as lead role), and gave a thumbs down to go for movie(with obvious reasons).

However it was a life time opportunity to go with a friend, so could not just ignore it. After consciously narrowing down the choices to three available movies (other two being Jannat and Indiana Jones), further narrowed down the choice to "Woodstock Villa".Getting a ticket at Fun Cinema at Gold Lounge was a good experience.
Although it was a good experience later on also...However movie related experiences were not as good..

It was highly expected that the movie will have some Hollywood flavor as
a.) the name suggests
b.) the producer is Sanjay Gupta.
The movie starts with kidnapping of Arbaaz Khan’s wife (Neha Uberoi) by Sikandar Kher(the newcomer). Then there starts a little thrill but hardly any suspense. It was a little grayish who was playing with whom. Was it Arbaaz Khan or Neha playing the game. The movie revolves around murder of a successful businessman’s wife. As the movie goes on the cards unfold.

The leading role played by Sikandar is good, who pulls the movie. As in Gulshan Grover’s words “Hero hai hero”. The real hero. However the other characters Shakti Kapoor and Gulshan were just waste. There was hardly anything for them. It seemed Gulshan Grover was introduced in the movie just to make the audience realize that Sikandar is hero (which again was unnecessary). Even sensual looks of Neha can’t save the movie. Arbaaaz also disappointed.Neha once said in movie “Stay away from me..I spell trouble”…I got it what it meant…stay away from movie (Woodstock Villa).. The songs featured were also pathetic. However cinematography was good.

A friendly advice to Hansal and Sanjay: Please make a good plot first (next time), and then go for it.

Thanks to the friend (as boring time of movie was spent in chatting and...chatting).

If someone seriously still wants to go for the movie pls take your pals with you, so that at least you don’t frustrate alone. Really a bad choice…Indiana Jones would have been far far better option…but still think better than Jannat.

PS: The best thing about the movie is that it is around 90 minutes long. Also go for Jhonny Gaddar…
